Beyoncé è stata la trionfatrice assoluta di questa edizione dei Grammy Awards, portandosi a casa il premio più importante, vincendo con Cowboy Carter nella categoria Album dell'anno. "Sono passati molti, molti anni", ha commentato Queen B, ricevendo il riconoscimento più prestigioso della kermesse, che per quattro volte non era riuscita a portare a casa. La cantante ha portato a casa anche il titolo di Miglior album country del 2024: in occasione dei Country Music Awards non aveva ricevuto nemmeno una nomination.

Nonostante sia stata protagonista della serata, consegnando a Beyoncé il suo premio più importante, Taylor Swift, che lo scorso anno ai Grammy Awards aveva fatto incetta di premi, quest'anno non ha conquistato nessuna statuetta.

La Recording Academy ha scelto di andare avanti con il programma, non spostando la data prevista per l'evento, come era stato ipotizzato visti i terribili incendi che hanno sconvolto Los Angeles. La cerimonia di premiazione è stato un modo per omaggiare la città divorata dalle fiamme. Durante la serata sono stati raccolti più di 7 milioni di dollari che saranno destinati alle vittime dei roghi e per ricostruire questa zona della California martoriata dagli incendi che solo da pochissimi giorni sono stati completamente spenti. Presente sul palco anche una delegazione dei vigili del fuoco della contea, mentre gli studenti di due scuole distrutte hanno cantato We are the world.
